Dot to Dot Number Activity

Dot-to-Dot exercises are easy and effective ways for children to learn the shape and how to write letters and numbers. It works well because it is a slow process where the child must focus on a letter or number and physically make the right movements to write it.

This activity helps them draw the numbers from 1 to 20. You can print out a few pages at a time {e.g., 1 to 5) and after they have connected the dots, turn over the page and ask them if they remember how to draw it without the dots. Help them along if they find it difficult problems. Because it’s short and easy, it can be repeated in multiple sessions to reinforce their writing memory for each number.
