Alphabet Worksheets for Upper and Lowercase Letters

This is a worksheet that needs to be printed. Each page has one letter. First show the child that the letter has two different ways to write it…one is upper case, the other is lower case. Then show them how to follow the arrows to draw the letter. Crayons or colored pencils are needed for coloring and a pencil with an eraser is best for tracing. The worksheet is designed as an integrated approach to developing motor skills, learning to write the letters, and associating the letters with a beginning sound of some familiar words. Make sure they can name each coloring picture at the bottom, which helps with vocabulary. Doing the worksheets together not only helps children learn faster, but makes it fun. Sessions should be short so children don’t get bored or overwhelmed with information. Giving a sticker when each page completed is a good motivator (as well as your approva!).
